In the midst of the chaos, a remarkable group of engineers and contractors from across North Carolina stepped forward to help us. Many of them had never been to Chimney Rock before, but they volunteered their time and expertise without hesitation. They walked the damaged grounds, studied the structural impact, and worked together to figure out how to save the inn. What they gave us wasn’t just advice — they gave us a plan. Their efforts resulted in a recovery strategy that we're still following today, and without their help, the future of the Broad River Inn would have been uncertain. Their commitment and generosity reminded us that even in the worst of times, people will show up to help rebuild what matters.
