Pouring the foundation wall and installing new interior pillars marked a major turning point in our journey to rebuild the Broad River Inn. With the footers in place, we finally gave the structure the strength and stability it desperately needed. Then an incredible volunteer group from a local church stepped in and took on the delicate task of jacking the entire building up by five inches to bring it back to level. Watching them work with such care and determination was truly impressive. Their skill and generosity helped correct a major structural issue that threatened the inn’s future. Together, these efforts transformed the inn from a damaged shell into a stable, hopeful structure, a real symbol of the resilience and support that has carried us through this journey.
